Gentle handles with a big effect

For the Bowen technique, "less is more" - the probability that just a few BOWEN grips with very gentle pressure will bring your body into balance and activate your body's own self-healing powers is very high.

Bowen has been used very successfully for 40 years.

The Bowen Technique is a unique and effective method for harmonizing body and mind. It is a specially developed method that consists of gentle manual interventions that penetrate deep into the muscles and connective tissue, releasing tension and blockages in the body. The beneficial effects of the Bowen technique help you to feel relaxed and vital - your body, mind and soul will receive stimuli during a treatment that will put them into deep relaxation and revitalize them at the same time.

The Bowen Technique is a unique, gentle and profound healing method that increases a person's ability to regulate and heal themselves. It was developed by Tom Bowen, an Australian alternative practitioner, and was a revolutionary new treatment method in its day. The Bowen technique consists of gentle grips on the skin in combination with light movements and pauses. It has a profound effect and a multitude of benefits. It helps the body to relax and strengthen its self-healing powers. The gentle movements and pauses between the techniques encourage the body to organize and regulate its energy. This relieves stress, muscle tension and pain, improves bodily functions and restores natural balance.

The Bowen technique, a dynamic muscle and connective tissue technique, has a very relaxing effect and helps the body to regain its balance by utilizing its own resources for self-regulation. The whole body is worked on with series of gentle but precise grips on specific areas of the body, muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia/connective tissue.

A 2-minute break between the grips gives the body the opportunity to regulate itself.

One application takes between 20 and 60 minutes, ideally followed by another application after a week.

The video gives a brief overview.

Tom Bowen

died in 1982, developed this comprehensive technique in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. He came from a very poor background. He was self-taught and gained his anatomical knowledge from specialist books and intuition. Through tireless working with people, he developed this unique method.

Tom Bowen eventually opened his clinic as a full-time operation and treated over 13,000 clients a year with great success. Incidentally, he always treated children free of charge.

For whom are BOWEN applications useful?

BOWEN can be used on people of all ages - men, women, children, teenagers and even babies.

The following areas can be successfully supported by the BOWEN technique:

The entire musculoskeletal system (complaints in the neck, shoulder, spine, pelvis, knee, ankle, etc.)

The function of all internal organs (stomach, gallbladder, intestines, etc.)

The cardiovascular system

The nervous system (states of stress and tension, inner restlessness, concentration disorders,...

The entire body before, during and after pregnancy (including difficulties getting pregnant)

Before and after surgical procedures for preparation or regeneration

The BOWEN technique is primarily dedicated to holistic health promotion. It is in no way a substitute for a visit to the doctor, who is responsible for making a diagnosis and developing a treatment plan.

Are you always in pain - sometimes more, sometimes less? Do you feel physically unfit and tired? Do you have physical complaints that keep coming back? Do you feel overworked and your resources seem to be exhausted? Have you been diagnosed by a doctor and want to actively support your body to get well again? Do you generally feel well, but want to take precautions to stay "healthy"?

Bowen is not ...

Although BOWEN always involves a holistic understanding of body, mind and soul, this technique is neither a purely physical nor a purely spiritual method. BOWEN can basically not be compared with any other method and is a technique that combines many different effects.

No massage

Although the technique works on muscles and connective tissue, it is content with very gentle impulses. There are no deep and sometimes very painful massage techniques. Muscles are not kneaded softly, but relax by themselves by themselves through BOWEN impulses.

No acupressure

Some points on which the BOWEN grips are applied are identical to acupressure points, others are not. BOWEN does not specifically stimulate points on the meridians - nevertheless it also has an effect on the meridian system.

No lymphatic drainage

Although BOWEN stimulates the flow of lymph, it does not provide the targeted strokes and stimulation of lymph flow that lymphatic drainage does.

No physiotherapy

There is no exercise training in this form at BOWEN.

No chiropractic

There are no strong jerky impulses as in chiropractic with BOWEN. Even if displaced joints and vertebrae can realign themselves by working on the muscles and tendons, the skeleton and bone tissue are not affected. bone tissue.
